A multi-tenant billing and payments platform handling subscriptions, invoices and dunning for over 3,000 B2B customers. I led the full rebuild of the platform from a legacy monolith to a modern Next.js + React stack with Stripe as the payment backbone.
The Challenge
The legacy system processed invoices in batches overnight, billing errors were found by customers rather than the team, and adding a new payment method took weeks of fragile work.
The Solution
I designed an event-driven billing core: every charge, refund and subscription change flows through a single command pipeline with idempotency keys, webhooks are reconciled automatically, and a React dashboard gives finance teams live visibility into cash flow.
